The following provides quick answers to questions
asked about the DuraLabel PRO label printers. If you need assistance
with your DuraLabel Printer, please feel free to call us. If you

The indicator light stays off when the printer is turned on.

Check all the power connections on the
back of the printer. Be sure that the AC adapter is connected
to the printer and the power is plugged into an active outlet.
The green indicator light is on, but the printer doesn't
work.

Check to be sure the interface cable between
the printer and computer is attached correctly and is securely
attached.
The printer appears to be working, but it does not print.

Check that the label roll is properly loaded
into the printer, with the labels facing up. Make sure you are
using direct thermal label material.
Check to be sure that upper part of the printer
(the part on which the ribbon is mounted) has been firmly pressed
down and is locked into place. If it is not locked down, the ribbon
may not be coming into contact with the tape.
The printing quality is poor.

Clean the print head carefully. Adjust
the darkness setting, or run the printer at a slower printing
speed.
The labels are not completely printed.

Check for and remove any label, or pieces
of a label, stuck on the print head.
Labels are stuck on the print head.
Answer
Remove stuck labels and make sure any curled
or damaged label is removed from the label roll prior to loading
the roll.
The printer continues to print even though it has run out of
labels.

Check for and remove any label stuck on
the gap sensor or paper guide.
Printing stops and the indicator is flashing.
Answer
There may be program error, use the Dump
Mode to debug.
Check to see whether the label gap is too small. The label gap
must be larger than 1/16 inch.
Check and remove any stuck label on gap sensor.
The label being printed has large areas of black graphics. The
black areas are not as dark as they should be.

Run the printer at a slower speed.
